Commando
Commandos heavily outrange you, but if you can get close they should be no problem. If you are too far away to shoot at a Commando that starts shooting you, tunnel underground to avoid the Minigun fire. You only need to get to about 15 blocks or so with the Pump-Action Shotgun, but look out for rockets. With the Double-Barrel Shotgun you will need to get a lot closer.

Marksman
It is very easy to fight Marksmen as a Miner, as they need to get headshots to deal decent damage but your headshot resistance makes headshots useless. If you are far away from them, tunnel underground so they will not be able to sniper you. Once you are up close, they should be no problem. Both Shotguns will shred through marksmen easily.

Engineer
A good engineer will be very difficult to kill, but will still have a hard time damaging you. Scope with your Shotgun and shoot at them to ground them if they try to fly away. Use your Drill Cannon to get through any Constructs they stick in your way.

Miner
If you happen to encounter another Miner, try to stay out of the other Miner's range and get as many shots in as you can. Aim for the torso, because that is where you will do the most damage.

Zombie
Zombies usually do not stand a chance against your Shotgun, but if you are mobbed by them then you will usually die. A common tactic is to dig a large tunnel system deep underground. The Double-Barrel Shotgun is virtually unstoppable to Zombies, and is one of the best weapons to use in that mode, however you can still die if you get mobbed.
